Football Crafts for Kids!

Football Crafts are a big part of fall for us here at Oopsy Daisy! That's because of all the great things about fall, we think High School Football is right up there with the best.

Why do we love High School Football?  Because there's something for everybody! The football players, cheerleaders, marching band, and cheering sections offer fun for all.

Here are some fun football crafts to help you cheer on your favorite team:

Football Windsock: To make this you'll need a tin can with the label removed, brown spray paint, ribbons in your favorite team's colors, white tape, and a screwdriver and hammer (and, of course, an adult's help!) Spray paint the can brown, and when it dries apply white tape to resemble the lacing on the ball. Tape the ribbon pieces on the inside at the open end, where they're not visible, and make 2 holes with the screwdriver and hammer. Hang up the windsock and show your team spirit!

DIY Pom-Poms: These require 2 plastic table cloths in your team's colors, scissors, and duct tape. Cut each tablecloth into 9X12 rectangles. Make two piles of them, alternating the colors one on top of the other, then make fringe all the way down the long side, leaving about 1 inch uncut along the middle. The fringe should be about 1 inch wide, but you can make it as small as you want. Roll up each stack as tightly as you can and secure the center with the tape. Then fluff out the fringe and cheer your team on to victory!

Check out our large assortment of sports-themed art, too. Whatever sport you love, you'll find it at Oopsy Daisy Fine Art for Kids.

Go, Team, Go!
