National Teacher's Day Craft Ideas for Kids

National Teacher's Day is May 3rd. (It's always the Tuesday of the first full week of May.) You can celebrate National Teacher's Day by telling your teachers That you appreciate them and all their hard work.

Here are some fun craft ideas for kids to say thanks to their favorite teachers!

Ruler Vase: For this one you'll need 5 wooden rulers, some hot glue, and a mason jar. Saw each one in half and glue them to the jar. Fill the jar with pencils, lollipops, or candy!

Pipe Cleaner Pencil Toppers: All you need here is some pipe cleaners and pencils. Twist a fun shape in about half of the length of the pipe cleaner. Think stars, hearts, flowers, or apples. Then twist the lower half around the top of a pencil. That's it!

High Five Card: This one's super-easy. Pour some washable paint onto a paper plate and dip your hand in it. Then make a handprint on the front of a card or folded piece of paper. After it's dry, write a note like "High Five for a Terrific Teacher!" and sign the inside. Your teacher will love it!

And speaking of stuff teachers love, how about educational art for kids? Come see our collection of map art, alphabet art, animal art, and outer space art for kids' rooms and classrooms alike.

Thank You, Teachers!!
