  • Woodland Wonders

Woodland art is more than a brief sighting on the landscape; it's a trend that's here to stay.

And we here at Oopsy Daisy Fine Art for Kids couldn't be happier about it.

Woodland art is perfect art for kids' rooms. It combines sophisticated designs and colors with fanciful, appealing creatures. Woodland art can grow with a child (and we don't just mean growth charts!), because it can contain elements of storybook fantasy (what could be cuter than a baby bunny?) alongside more mature color palettes and realistic elements.

We're proud of our collection of Woodland art because it's as varied as a busy forest floor. In addition to canvas wall art, we have personalized growth charts, night lights, throw pillows, lamps, and even feltidermy with a woodland theme.

  • How to Choose Art for a Kid's Room

You want your child's room to be perfect: a cozy place for her to dream, rest, and feel completely at home. So what you hang on the walls is important. At Oopsy Daisy, we have all kinds of art for all kinds of kids. To narrow it down for you, we have 9  tips for choosing art for a kid's room.

    1. Think of a Theme

This can be anything that interests your child: sports, dance, science, dinosaurs - whatever you can imagine, we have art for kid's rooms that reflects it. Filter by theme to narrow your selection.

    2. Start With Color

The color palette is a good place to start. If your child is old enough, ask him what his favorite color is. For a baby, decide on the color you'd most like to see. Then go to our website and narrow it down - just click on the color you want to start with to filter your selection.

    3. Scout the Size

Most of our canvas art for kids rooms is available in a variety of sizes, so you can find your favorite piece and then decide if you want it in a variety of sizes, from 14 x 10 to 60 x 45.

    4. Location. Location, Location

Where will this piece hang? Over the bed or next to a little window? That may help you determine the type of art you want to display (see below).

    5. Consider the Age

Are you designing a baby's room, a young child's room, or a tween's? Perhaps you are looking for something that can grow along with your child. If you have an older child (or relative or neighbor), ask him or her for help - "do you think the baby will still love this when he's your age?"

    6. Choose the Art Type

Canvas wall art is always classic. But did you know how many other options there are? At Oopsy Daisy Fine Art for Kids, we offer wall decals, Growth Charts, poster decals, and canvas murals. You can even mix it up by throwing in some throw pillows, lamps, and night lights!

    7. Individualize

We believe that art should make a child feel special. That can mean choosing his or her favorite activity (see tip 1), or it can be even more personal. We specialize in personalized art for kids' rooms, so you can add a child's name to dozens of different works of art. Or, how about a personalized growth chart? With your child's name and her growth progress on display, you've created an art piece that could only be hers.

    8. Consider Educational Value

Are you looking for something that is educational as well as ornamental? Consider  a stylized chart of the solar system or detailed and imaginative map of the world.

    9. Keep an Eye On the Rest of the House

Is your home's decor modern, traditional, or eclectic? Art for a kid's room can flow with the rest of the home, keeping the style consistent throughout.

Pick and choose which of these tips is most useful to you, then come on over to our site and get started. In no time at all, you'll have found the perfect art for a kid's room, and maybe something for yourself as well!
