What Makes Oopsy Daisy Art So Unique?
Oopsy Daisy is unique because of the quality of the art itself and the method of reproduction. Each piece of Oopsy Daisy art is a top quality canvas reproduction using the Giclée method in which images are produced one at a time. The printers used in this method allow for a higher resolution dots per inch while spraying more than 1 million droplets per second onto the canvas. This yields a higher spectrum than serigraphy. Since no screens are used in the Giclée method, these prints produce deep, saturated colors and excellent detail, making the piece look like an original painting.
Once the canvas is printed, it is hand stretched over wood bars. The sides include a decorative edge, so no framing is necessary. The prints are easy to hang and each piece comes with the artist's biography attached to the back.

Background
In 1999, San Diego couple Karen and Tom Capp, while trying to decorate their baby's nursery discovered that fine art for kids just didn't exist. They wanted to decorate with art that would reflect their child's originality, as well as enrich their child's life by bringing a sense of playfulness and joy into the room. They couldn't find engaging, imaginative and colorful art for children anywhere, so they went in search of an artist who could create it.
In Karen's words, "A lot of the art available before Oopsy Daisy seemed very insipid to me - not truly appealing to kids, more to people's idea of what kids should like." The couple decided to launch a company to create and sell the art and fill this needed niche. Their goal was to offer art that would provide distinctive, youthful images that appeal to children as well as to the more sophisticated palette of parents.
Additionally, the couple wanted to teach children about the value of art, as Tom states, "We place biographies on all of our pieces so kids can learn about working artists...who they are, what inspires them, where they were educated, etc."
Charitable Contributions
Each year, Oopsy Daisy donates a portion of its sales to national and international charities that directly assist kids. The company also donates art to auction for schools, charitable organization fundraisers and other events.
