Uniquely Coordinating Room Decor for Kids

June 26, 2013 / Design Tips

Artwork, table lamps, bedspreads, throw pillows, wall color, rugs – yikes! We agree that decorating your child’s bedroom or nursery with coordinating room decor for kids can be exciting, fun, and yes – intimidating. That’s why we’re here to help, and offer our tips and suggestions for creating a space that your little girl or boy will find magical, enchanting, and their most favorite place to be!

Be Unpredictable

We’d like to encourage you to make decorative choices by thinking outside the “box” by selecting pieces that speak to you and look great together. So, don’t feel pressured to buy a “set” of matching items to complete a whole room – branch out and choose coordinating room decor for kids that will give your space a fresh and unique touch!

When decorating a child’s bedroom or baby’s nursery, our eternal tip that we will stand behind forevermore (not to get dramatic!) is to choose your wall art first. When you start to shop for wall art, you’ll see all the options out there and be filled with excitement. Choosing wall color and bedding first really limits your options for wall decor, yet that’s the most fun element to shop for! Our artists create such engaging and gorgeous artwork that you may be very surprised at the color palette you end up with just by finding that perfect piece of art that speaks to you from the beginning. So, we’ve added another component to our line that’s essential to a child’s room and will bring an extra art dimension. Our adorable decorative table lamps are all created from existing pieces of artwork from our talented artists to perfectly match or coordinate with the artwork of your choosing. Not only that, you get to choose from 6 colors of lamp bases, or just get the shade by itself to top your existing base.

While we do make it easy to match our kids’ table lamps to artwork in the line, we’d also like to inspire mixing and matching to get coordinating room decor for kids to really show your personality. We’ve selected some of our lamp shades that were created directly from existing pieces of artwork, and paired them with some less predictable selections – in many cases, joining with different artists’ works.
